Caramelized Onion Garnish


  • 1/2 large onion, cut into fine rings
  • Vanilla Stevia, to taste
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • water (as needed)


  1. Preheat skillet. Add a small amount of water, lemon juice, and Stevia to pan.
  2. Add onion rings and cook quickly, periodically deglazing the pan with more water to create a sweet sauce.
  3. Serve immediately over steak or chicken, and spoon any remaining sauce created by deglazing over the top. This can also be served chilled and/or added as a topping to salads.
