Tired? Lethargic? And can’t get through the day? If you’re on your third cup of coffee, and you’re still falling asleep, discover new ways to boost your energy levels. Here’s our 5 tips below:

Hydrate and Get Enough Sleep

The adage of drinking enough water and getting enough sleep still holds true, especially when discussing energy levels. Many people complain about being tired, and many times the reason stems from drinking too many sugary drinks or caffeinated beverages, and not enough water. In addition, sleep is crucial to keeping your energy levels up. Without sleep, you can develop “brain fog” and become moody and irritable. In essence, hydrating and getting enough sleep come hand-in-hand when it comes to boosting your energy.

Exercise. And Try to Exercise in the Morning.

The benefits of exercise are numerous, and one of them is in providing you an energy boost. In general, exercise increases oxygen and nutrient flow throughout your body, especially your heart and lungs, providing you the energy boost you need. According to the National Institute for Fitness and Sports, a morning workout can increase your energy level for the day. Go for that morning run if you have to!*

Eat a Power Breakfast

Start your day right with a power breakfast. Breakfast certainly is the most important meal of the day, as it jump-starts your energy and motivation, and can positively impact you the rest of your day. An example of a great breakfast is an egg-white omelet with a serving of berries. The egg-whites contain protein and the berries contain anti-oxidants, fiber, and Vitamin C. Eating these will certainly rev you up for the day.

Try Our New Supplement, RM Ignite

If you’re feeling low on energy, think about taking a supplement to ignite your spark. Here’s what Heather Wright, Clinical Assistant Director of Red Mountain, had to say about our new supplement: “Anyone can use this to help with metabolism, blood sugar control, or fatigue. For patients who feel like they need energy, have a slow metabolism due to menopause, or other reasons, this is definitely the supplement for them.” RM Ignite is specially formulated to boost metabolism and energy levels. Other benefits include: optimal and accelerated fat burning, reduced fatigued, and improved mental acuity. Heather’s bonus tip: “This could also be taken with RM Resist to help with blood sugar control, which also helps to control hunger better and losing weight faster.”

Journal Dump Your Anxieties to Clear Your Head Space

Rumination is defined as the process of replaying the same thoughts over and over in your head. This can cause negative and harmful effects as they can create anxiety and stress – two things that deplete your energy. As a result, it’s healthy to practice a “journal dump” or the act of writing down all your anxieties to clear your head space. Once you have all those anxieties on paper, you’ll find yourself relaxed and recharged. You can use this energy for other things!

*Always consult with your medical provider before beginning a new fitness routine. Patients following the RM3® program should limit their exercise to 30 minutes of low-impact activity per day.
