You’ve heard about Ozempic® and Wegovy®, two of the most popular GLP-1 medications with the active ingredient semaglutide, which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for weight loss. Now, meet Revolex SGT™ — the new proprietary medication from Red Mountain Weight Loss®. While they all contain the key ingredient semaglutide, there are a few key differences.

How do Revolex, Ozempic & Wegovy Help Me Lose Weight?

Revolex, Ozempic, and Wegovy all contain the same active ingredient: semaglutide. It is a prescription drug initially created to help people with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels. However, doctors noticed that people taking the medication experienced weight loss benefits. In June 2021, after initial clinical trials showed impressive results, it was then FDA-approved for chronic weight management.

Semaglutide mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that regulates your blood sugar for easier appetite control. Semaglutide works to accelerate your weight loss by:

  • Reducing your appetite. Semaglutide interacts with the part of the brain that signals that you are full. Since semaglutide mimics the GLP-1 hormone, it signals that you are full sooner, reducing your cravings and appetite.
  • Lowering your blood sugar levels. The GLP-1 hormone prompts the body’s production of insulin. This reduces blood sugar levels and regulates insulin, allowing your body to process carbohydrates into energy rather than storing them as fat.
  • Making you feel full for longer. Semaglutide slows how quickly the stomach digests your food, making you feel full for longer.
  • Boosting your metabolism. Some studies suggest semaglutide may increase metabolism for greater calorie burn.

The weight loss medication has additional health benefits for individuals who are overweight or obese:

  • Significant weight loss. Clinical trials show impressive weight loss results with semaglutide compared to placebos. In fact, adults taking the drug lost an average of almost 15% of their initial body weight.
  • Results are seen quickly. You should begin to see weight loss within the first few weeks after your first dose and the full effects over long-term use.
  • Improvements in overall health. Semaglutide may support improvements in blood pressure, cholesterol, and other health indicators related to weight.

Revolex SGT Is a Weekly Injection or Daily Tablet

Revolex SGT is available as a daily sublingual tablet or a weekly injection, giving you the ability to choose the method that works best for your lifestyle.

Ozempic and Wegovy are available only as once-weekly injections administered to your thigh, lower stomach, or upper arm. A few steps are required to prepare the pen and give yourself the injection. The medications must also be stored in the refrigerator from 36°F to 46°F and cannot be used if it has been frozen, exposed to light, or at temperatures above 86°F.

Revolex SGT Is Full Strength From Day One

Red Mountain’s Revolex SGT daily sublingual tablet starts at an effective dose for weight management right away. This means you can lose up to 15 lbs. in just one month!

Wegovy comes in 5 different dose strengths that start at 0.25 mg once a week and increase every 4 weeks until the full dose of 2.4 mg is reached. Ozempic is available in slightly lower doses: 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, and 2.0 mg. Both medications are typically started at the same 0.25 mg weekly dose and then gradually increased over the course of several months.

Month 1 Month 2 Month 3 Month 4 Month 5 and Onward
Revolex SGT Full Dosage Full Dosage Full Dosage Full Dosage Full Dosage
Ozempic 0.25 mg/week 0.5 mg/week 1.0 mg/week 2.0 mg/week 2.0 mg/week
Wegovy 0.25 mg/week 0.5 mg/week 1.0 mg/week 1.7 mg/week 2.4 mg/week

Revolex SGT Doesn’t Take Away From Diabetics Supply

Revolex SGT is formulated exclusively for Red Mountain by a PCAB accredited compounding pharmacy to ensure our patients receive the purest and safest product. Since the ingredients are directly sourced for compounding, Revolex SGT has no impact on the availability of semaglutide used for diabetic medications. Additionally, the semaglutide in Revolex SGT is:

  • Sourced from FDA-Registered/Inspected Manufacturer
  • Tested by FDA-Registered Analytical Laboratory
  • Available only by prescription from a Licensed Medical Provider

Ozempic and Wegovy are sold by retail pharmacies nationwide. Health care providers are prescribing these medications for type 2 diabetes and weight loss, which contributed to the recent increased demand for the medications.

Revolex SGT Can Help You Lose Up to 15 lbs. in 1 Month

Revolex SGT is part of our comprehensive Flex™ weight loss program to help you lose up to 15 lbs. per month. Research has shown that improving lifestyle factors — like food, sleep, activity, and mindset — form the foundation for long-term success. That is why weight loss medications should be combined with lifestyle modifications (like diet and exercise) to achieve your goals.

With the Flex weight loss program, we give you everything you need to help keep you on the right track for success and a healthier lifestyle. You’ll have access to resources like:

  • Individualized Meal Plan: Meet 1-on-1 with the Red Mountain Clinical Team to design the ideal meal plan to maximize the impact of the Revolex SGT medication and help you achieve your weight loss goals.
  • Tips & Downloadable Guides: Change your habits and develop a healthier lifestyle with tips from our RM Clinical Psychologist.
  • Exercise Routines: Build a more active lifestyle with workouts from our RM Certified Personal Trainer.
  • RM-Approved Recipes: Access hundreds of RM-approved recipes to help you create healthy meals in your own kitchen.

Ozempic and Wegovy are typically prescribed without a weight loss plan. Patients are less likely to lose body weight as quickly and may not develop the skills and tools necessary to sustain their results once they stop taking the medication. This is why undesirable outcomes like rebound weight gain are common.

Revolex SGT Costs Less (And You Get More)

Ozempic and Wegovy can cost up to $1,500 per month for 4 single-use injection pens. You won’t receive the 1-on-1 medical support nor individualized diet plan to help you gain healthy habits. Revolex SGT costs less and includes the Flex weight loss program to accelerate success so you can finally experience a real breakthrough. Our signature program includes:

  • Revolex SGT prescription medication
  • Flexible diet plan with more real foods (and occasional indulgences!)
  • Unlimited exercise/no restrictions on activity levels
  • Weekly Fat Burner+ Boosters
  • 1-on-1 monthly consultations with our Clinical Team
  • Lifetime maintenance to sustain your results long-term

As a Red Mountain patient, you will be under the care of a member of our Clinical Team at each step of your weight loss journey. They will be here to answer any questions, monitor your progress, and make any necessary adjustments to keep you on track toward your goals and avoid rebound weight gain.
