How the PRP injections work
PRP is injected.
By placing PRP back into the skin, cell proliferation is encouraged. This leads to an increase in elastin and collagen production. As a result, the skin will look tighter, fuller, and smoother.

The risk of an allergic reaction is much lower when receiving PRP injections only because they are using their own cells.

Before Treatment
We recommend scheduling your PRP appointment at least three to four weeks before any special event. We suggest you discontinue Aspirin, Ibuprofen, green tea, fish oil, and vitamin E one week before your visit to minimize possible bruising. Please avoid other cosmetic procedures and dental work or cleanings two weeks prior to treatment.
When you arrive for your treatment, your Aesthetic Injector will review your treatment plan, capture before photos, and answer any questions you may have.
During Treatment
Your Aesthetic Injector will cleanse and mark the areas for your treatment. We apply a topical anesthetic to make your procedure more comfortable. While you are numbing, your Aesthetic Injector will draw a vial of blood from your arm to prepare for your treatment. You will feel a mild pinch or pressure as the PRP is injected during treatment. Please allow one hour or more, depending on the area treated and the results you are trying to achieve.
After Treatment
Do not massage, touch, or manipulate the injection site. Avoid heavy exercise on the day of your treatment. Avoid makeup for 24 hours and cosmetic procedures for two weeks.
You will see an immediate improvement in the treated area. However, these results will diminish over a few days and begin to build gradually over the next six weeks. It is not unusual to experience tenderness, swelling, bruising, and/or firmness and bumps at the injection sites following treatment.
Optimal results with PRP are achieved with multiple treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Lastly, the Aesthetic Injector will provide you with an at-home skin care recommendation that best suits your skin type and needs.
