Micro-Needling Phoenix, Arizona

Micro-Needling

Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a skin rejuvenation treatment that is comparable in results to skin rejuvenation lasers – but without the downtime or cost! This treatment allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin, which triggers new collagen formation and improves fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and acne scars. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin!

HOW IT WORKS

The process for Micro-Needling is carried out with the Eclipse MicroPen, an automated pen that is made up of multiple miniature needles. The needles pierce the upper layers of the skin causing pinpoint injury, which has two major benefits: successfully stimulates collagen formation, and provides a clear topical channel for creams and gels to be absorbed effectively through the top most layer of skin. Micro-Needling creates only minor trauma, which lasts for a short period of time and does not result in bruising or swelling in the treated area.

WHERE ON THE BODY CAN MICRO-NEEDLING BE USED?

Micro-Needling can be used on all parts of the body; face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

WHAT IS A MICRO-NEEDLING TREATMENT LIKE?

Before your treatment, your skin is numbed with topical anesthetic cream, so your treatment can be performed with minimal discomfort. The automated MicroPen is then applied over the treatment area creating micro “injuries” in the skin. Next, a Booster serum can be applied to the skin and effectively absorbed, increasing the results of your treatment. Patients experience zero or very little social downtime.

HOW MANY OFFICE VISITS ARE REQUIRED?

Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after treatment, as collagen production continues. Some patients only require a single treatment once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is typically recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-4 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.
