- 1 firm, ripe tomato
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- salt & pepper (to taste)
- fresh basil leaves, chopped and thinly sliced
- 1/8 tsp onion powder
- Clean and rinse tomato, and cut in half. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder.
- Preheat grill for medium/high. Season the tomato with mixture. Cook the tomato sliced side down for 4 minutes. Using a metal spatula, remove the tomatoes from the grill.
- Sprinkle tomatoes with basil and salt and pepper to taste.
