As a Medical Spa, Red Mountain offers a variety of treatments in order to offer our patients solutions to their aesthetic desires. Common areas of treatment include wrinkles, thinned lips, sunken eyes, scarring, and more.

Popular solutions include Botox® & Juvéderm®. But, how do you know which one is best for you?

What is Botox®?

Botox® is a brand-name neurotoxin which prevents the contraction of muscles in the treatment area, thus minimizing movement and the development of deeper lines and wrinkles.

What is Filler?

Fillers, such as the ones manufactured by Juvéderm®, are made from Hyaluronic acid, also known as HA. HA is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps this skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Fillers are injected beneath the surface of the skin to correct the depth of unwanted facial creases and folds. Filler can also be used to plump and define desired areas such as the lips and cheekbones.

How Do I Choose the Best Solution for Me?

The aesthetic solution that will help you best achieve your desired appearance should be determined by a highly training and skilled licensed professional. At Red Mountain, we provide ongoing training for all of our Aesthetic RN Injectors to ensure we can offer the latest advancements and injection techniques to deliver desired results. However, we have listed some of the most common areas of treatment & the most common injectable solution for them below.

Sunken eyes

As we age, the face naturally experiences volume loss; one of the most common areas is the under-eyes, resulting in a tired facial expression.

In order to treat these indented, shadowy areas, Filler can be injected to plump the area and create a more youthful, awakened appearance.

Wrinkles

Wrinkles can be treated by both Filler and Botox, depending on the patient’s desired result.

Botox® is most effective for treating dynamic wrinkles, or wrinkles that are formed as a result of facial movement.

Ex. Crows feet, forehead lines, smile lines, etc.

Juvéderm® is best used for adding volume to deep facial wrinkles and folds in order to create a smoother-looking appearance of the skin’s surface.

Thinned lips

In order to restore natural volume to the lip and reduce the appearance of fine lines, filler can be used. Our Aesthetic RN Injectors are trained to administer filler in a way that creates a natural-looking, well-defined lip shape.

Cheek definition

For those who desire a more defined cheekbone, filler is the best option. When injected, products like Voluma® are known to produce beautiful, relatively long-lasting effects.
