How does it work?

How does it work?

How does it work?

What is a Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure to treat uncomplicated spider veins and uncomplicated reticular veins. The treatment involves injecting a sclerosing solution into the veins being treated.

Is the Sclerotherapy right for me?

How does it work?

In this simple procedure, veins are injected with a sclerosing solution, which causes the vein to eventually shut down, shrink and be absorbed by the body. It works by damaging the endothelium, the cells lining the inside of blood vessels, and causes blood platelets to attach to the lining of the vessels. Eventually, cellular debris and platelets cause the blood vessel to clot and over time, the clotted vein will be replaced with tissue. The treatment only eliminates veins that are no longer used, so there are no negative effects on blood circulation.

Sclerotherapy can be used to treat uncomplicated spider and reticular veins of the legs.

What is a Sclerotherapy like?

A typical sclerotherapy session lasts 15 minutes to an hour. One injection is usually administered per inch with multiple injections per session.

How does Botox Work?

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm XC is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in your skin – that is used to instantly rejuvenate a variety of problem areas. Juvederm XC is manufactured using Hylacross technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. With Juvederm XC you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.

We also offer Juvederm Ultra Plux XC, which is a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and facial wrinkles.

Is Juvederm right for me?

Juvederm is a good minimally, invasive option for when you want to add volume and smooth out facial wrinkles. It is a great alternative if you want to look younger, without undergoing expensive and risky surgery.

How does Juvederm work?

Young, healthy looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). As you age, sunlight and other factors reduce the amount of HA found in your skin. Like with any invasive procedure, Juvederm patients may experience temporary inflammation at the injection site, redness, swelling and bruising after their appointment. At Red Mountain Med Spa every effort is taken to minimize patient downtime, but there is always a possibility for it, which can last up to 3-7 days. How does Radiesse work?

Upon injection, Radiesse Volumizing Filler provides the volume and lift needed to reduce the signs of aging, because of the calcium-based microspheres and gel that comprise the product. Radiesse fills or replenishes volume lost over time and actually acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effect of Radiesse. Like with any invasive procedure, Radiesse patients may experience temporary inflammation at the injection site, redness, swelling and bruising after their appointment. At Red Mountain Med Spa every effort is taken to minimize patient downtime, but there is always a possibility for it, which can last up to 3-7 days. In order to further minimize patient downtime, please remove the following items from your lifestyle and diet one week prior to treatment:

How does it work?

This treatment involves a hand-held device that blows crystals onto skin, which gently abrades or "polishes" the skin's surface. Then, a vacuum tube removes the crystals and skin cells. Microdermabrasion gently removes the skin's topmost layer, which may result in new skin growth that is more elastic. The procedure also exfoliates and unclogs pores.

What is a Microdermabrasion like?

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure, where tiny crystals are sprayed onto the skin in a gentle abrasion technique that removes the dead outer layer of skin. The treatment typically takes about 30 minutes.

With Microdermabrasion there is only minimal downtime, with the skin fully recovering within 24 hours of the treatment. After Microdermabrasion, you may notice a slight redness to the treated areas and your skin can feel dry and tight (similar to a sunburn or windburn) for about 24 hours. This treatment can improve the appearance of superficial skin problems, and create softer, smoother skin.

How many office visits are required?
